Maike is a teacher with over 30 years of experience and a mother of five. She knows schools abroad from both sides: as a teacher and as a mother. Assadé grew out of this combination of teaching experience and family life.

Maike Rulfs-Zoua, founder of Assadé and teacher

How Assadé began

Maike studied German, Romance and American studies in Augsburg and has worked as a teacher for over 30 years. Her posts include the Goethe-Institut, the German School Barcelona and the American International School of Riyadh. She teaches in German, French, Spanish and English.

She also knows life at schools abroad from a mother's perspective. Her children attended both the German School Barcelona and the American International School of Riyadh.

Assadé grew out of this combination of teaching experience and family life: personal learning support in German and Maths for students at German schools abroad and for children and teenagers preparing to move to a German school abroad or return to Germany.

We want your child to be able to show what they know.

To do that, we first look closely, make a plan and practise how your child can show what they know in tasks, texts and solutions.

The team

Maike teaches alongside a team of German and Maths teachers. All are native German speakers and know what German schools at home and abroad expect.
