Five conversations with parents
How was their child doing before, and what has changed through the learning support? That's what they talk about with Maike.
“I can see that he no longer has that fear.”
Isabel
Mother of a son · German School, no German spoken at home
Before
Her son got good marks for content and ideas, but language mistakes pulled the overall grade down considerably. He lacked a systematic understanding of grammar, and he went into exams afraid.
With Assadé
He likes the lessons and understands much that he did not understand before. After his last test, his teacher told him you could tell he had studied.
“The most important progress was something else: they gained a huge amount of confidence.”
Emma
Mother of two · Barcelona
Before
Both children are growing up with German, Spanish, Catalan and English. In German they lacked the basics, especially the articles, and practising at home with grammar PDFs made no difference.
With Assadé
After the first few lessons the children were asking when their next lesson with Maike would be. They are more confident with the articles, their pronunciation has improved a lot, and they now write in German too.
“Which child does French voluntarily in the holidays? My daughters.”
Rasha
Mother of three daughters · IB school in Saudi Arabia
Before
Her eldest daughter Hannah could no longer make progress in French on her own, and her mother does not speak French. Local private tutors only went over the school material, which did nothing to motivate her.
With Assadé
The girls have been learning online with Maike for three and a half years. Hannah has just passed DELF A2, with top marks in the oral part. Selma also passed the exam at just 13.
“We saw very clear changes from the start. First of all, his grades improved.”
Ekaterina
Adrian's mother · English and Russian at home
Before
Once he started school, German became more important, and it was a challenge for Adrian. Not a serious situation, but his mother knew he could do much more.
With Assadé
His grades improved, and his teacher said several times that she was impressed with his progress. What the family values most is that Assadé knows the German school system and the school materials in depth.
“There is a world of difference between where she started and where she is today.”
Luis
Brunella's family · German School, upper school
Before
After moving from a Swiss school to the German School, Brunella failed five subjects straight away. She did not even understand the exam questions; her grammar was roughly at year 6 level.
With Assadé
After the placement test she worked on her gaps in a targeted way: an hour and a half of lessons, then at least as long on her own, even in the summer holidays. Today she is preparing for the Abitur and can be proud of what she has achieved.
Three journeys
- 5 → 9.5 the German grade before and after the support
- IB → Gymnasium Move to a German Gymnasium achieved
- Semester passed despite failed exams at the start

“Assade was recommended to me by a friend, and I am very grateful for that recommendation. My son took German classes there and truly enjoyed the way the language was taught. He made very fast and impressive progress, especially in grammar. I really appreciate their teaching method — it is both effective and engaging. The instructors are highly professional,…”
“I found Assadé while looking to strengthen my primary school child's German. Coming from a household of two other languages (German is not our mother tongue), and having lost some time in the kindergarten due to Covid closures, our child was coping with school OK, but we knew he could improve in order to feel more comfortable and ultimately fully understand…”
“During our relocation from outside Europe back to the German school system I found Assadé within a network of German women. We are very happy with Assadé- we started French lessons with Maike before returning back to Germany (during summer holidays) - and my son could smoothly step into the next grade at school. Both my kids started German lessons and…”
“Assade has helped two of my kids tremendously in improving not only their grades but overall performance and attitude versus school tasks. In fact, my oldest daughter was about to suspend the whole tenth grade and to repeat. We talked to Assade, put her in an intensive daily program which they developed and only months later she had improved in almost all…”
“My son is in DSB, now in grade 11. As the years went by, his results started to get worse. Before the ZK last year, I felt we needed help. A friend recommended Assadé, which was a great choice. The company, the team, the administration is very professional and everyone is very friendly. Flori's success with tutoring has given his confidence, he is doing…”
